The trip is what we are trying to decide on for next week. Either Mexico or Bahamas.

Post OE Scheduling

Crew Scheduling actually isn't involved with IOE at all. For the CRJ 200, You need to speak with Maria Schneider. She is really nice (once you finally get a hold of her!!) While I was waiting for OE in March, my buddy and I planned a trip to Sydney Australia - all I did was call and inform Maria of the dates and she said that it would be okay. Just make sure if you go anywhere that they have a heads up, and that you are contactable either by phone or email. *Enjoy your days off while you can*

What do you think you'll be doing while you're flying?

Call crew scheduling and ask for Maria. They will connect you if she is available, then she will answer. She normally works evening shift, starting at 2pm central time. Call after that.

Does anyone know how long it takes once a request is submitted to drop a trip? I would like to drop a trip next week (MEM SAAB FO) and it's going on 3 days since the request was faxed to Crew Scheduling. What are the odds that once you submit a request to drop a trip, that you will be able to drop it?

Should be good on the Saab. Look on crewtrack and see if there is an astrisk next to the dates you are wanting to drop, if so they looked and probably denied the drop, call and find out why. If there isn't any astrisk then call and ask them to look at your request.

Thanks Avroman - I called Crew Scheduling and they said because it is a request for a complete drop, they won't even look at it until it's within 48 hours of the trip. Makes it hard to plan since I need to go out of town, but hopefully, everything will work out ok. Appreciate the response!
