I haven't gotten anything, hoping for at least an email rejecting me! At least then I know someone actually saw my app.

Submitted an app yesterday afternoon and had a response back before the end of the day saying it was under review. Not sure why some would not even get the automated response?
Any idea how long till you get a call for an interview?

There was no movement into the 200 in the last vacancy. It is the current vacancy that has some 200 spots on it, but mostly SAAB.
The reason why some people get a response and others haven't - well don't presume that we have state of the art computers cause other than the SOC (which looks like NASA), we don't. If you haven't gotten a response as quick as you want, submit you're resume again.
About the announcement:
Something is up. They just spent the whole summer getting rid of instructors and line check airmen and now we are asking for more in all fleets.
I really doubt that we will get caught up in the Freedom 900 issue at least until after the merger. But you never know.
I don't think more 200's are coming because they haven't hired 30 or 60 people at a time for it. Maybe Pinnacle is losing a base but that would require Union involvement. And because of the current status of 50 seat jets, I just doubt more are coming.
I've heard that it could be a SAAB replacement. If thats the case there would be A LOT of movement if it's the Qseries. Some real senior people on our list would love to get into it.
The Q rate is already in our contract. And it's so low that I think it's worth a lot of money to the company.
I don't think it will be more 900's just because of the scope, which is good. I know I think I would rather go into the Q400 instead of the 200. But that's the plumb for the company - a 74 seat aircraft flown for a 50 seat rate.
I suspect we could get a lot of various sizes of Q's because you can't take that many seats into a lot of the SAAB cities.
All just guesses. Your guess is as good as mine but one thing is for sure, these rumors are easier to live with than the contract negs of '04 or the whole bankruptcy fiasco.

if we do take on a bunch of Q's to replace the Saabs/200s, wouldnt that create a huge bill for the company to train people? thats over half the company's pilots at present time isnt it? or are we talking taking on Q's as additional planes/routes/bases etc?
