Default Equipment

If hired and If given the choice because of senority in your hired class what equipment would be best over the long run? Over at Skywest most recommend the brasilia over the jet because of quicker upgrade and better QOL and more flying. My hope would to be based in MSP and I really don't care about equipment unless it ment holding a line quicker. Is there a seat lock at Mesaba, how long?

Anybody have any advice on how to score an interview? I applied in July and was sent an email saying thanks for applying, will keep your app on record for a year. I'm a furloughed waterskier and exceed the mins. Would a call to HR help at all?

There is no newhire seatlock for upgrade at mesaba.

As far as the base and equipment...both depend highly on personal preference. All of our aircraft have upsides and downsides...along with bases. So in short, all in all there is no real answer to your question unfortunately.

I applied about a month ago and decided I'd update my app today........not a good idea since I got an email an hour later basically saying there are more qualified applicants than me at this time. It was a little suprising since I had a captain walk in my resume and I had four letters of recommendation but I pretty much expected it because I have fairly low time. A year ago I probably would have been ok getting on at a regional but todays environment is different. It's ok though because I still have my CFI/135 job and I'll just keep building time.

What hours are they looking for now, does anyone know? It is obviously a lot more than the 600/50 posted on the career page...
