He can document his flight time in HIS logbook however HE wants to. Some company he might want to work at in the future has a requirement to see jet vs turboprop time. You have NO clue. He might be a tool, but you are an entire tool shed.

If he was trying to differentiate between the two, then he should have said turbo prop and jet, not turbine and jet. Maybe take those off your resume and apply again to see what they say. If you really feel like you need to have them on there, just keep it at 8 turbine, or 5, or whatever you have that you were trying to show.

Yes, some company or another might care about the differentiation. In this day and age, however, there is no reason not to customize your resume to the particular employer you are sending it too.
