I submitted my app last week and promptly got a reply saying I hadn't included my total time please resubmit. Now I did copy and paste my resume that has my tt into the app. but didn't upload my resume b/c I didn't see the link the first time around. Does this mean someone actually looked at my app or was this an automated response???

Track - the saab is far more complicated machine with its systems and wacky Sweedish logic. The CRJ is streamlined, straightforward and incredibly easy from a ground school perspective. Both are easy to fly and both have their share of workloads, but distributed in different manners. Plenty to pilots at XJ had gone from the avro to the saab with no problems. It's hard work but it was done by many.

So if you go from the CRJ to the saab, it's the same idea. Hard work and a good attitude, combined with our training departments motivation to make sure you succeed it doesn't really matter what plane you get.

Give HR some time to get back to you, they are very busy right now.

So as we are all trying to find reasoning as to why we are hiring pilots at a time most of us feel we are properly staffed, isn't it ironic that none of DALs regionals are hiring but all of NWAs regionals are?

Well that's the thing I'm going from an ERJ145 to the Saab, I'm kinda excited... I've never flown a turboprop.

1 reason could be that Delta requires A higher staffing number per plane than NWA did with their regional partners? Stab in the dark.

My understanding is they have AHRS and the Mesaba sim was being modified. Any reader who has flown the Freedom 900s could chime in and give us the real scoop.

This may be a dumb question, but are you going from the 900 to the saab to upgrade sooner? If so, is the upgrade much longer if you want to stay and upgrade on the 900? And lastly, how does Mesaba determine when a Saab Captain can switch to the 900, vs an FO on the 900 upgrading? All seniority?

Thanks in advance.

Last 900 Capt I could find was hired Aug '05.

The contract determines when a SAAB Capt. can upgrade to the 900 Capt. If you jumped to the SAAB right away when you could, you are seat locked for 2 years from the FED ride.

It should be noted that there are some very senior SAAB guys starting to transition to the 900 now and it may be some time before real jr people get into it. However, if there was any place I am wrong most it is upgrade time.

They have been releasing seat locks in the SAAB (both FO and Capt) to get people to move to the 900. We only have a handful of 900's left to be delivered so the next bids for it could go very senior. Especially as the guys in the 200 get closer to their seat locks being released.

Generally FO's upgrade to the SAAB first unless we are getting aircraft. Then its a free or all.

Now if the Merger goes through things could get very crazy again.
