Study hard and breathe...you'll do fine.
Upgrade...
It depends. As things are going now probably about 18 months would be long. If something happens where a new SAAB base were to appear, it could be much shorter.
If the Delta thing happens and with the retiring of the ATR's, there could be some major shuffling with some equipment.
But there are no guarantees. I don't think there will be people upgrading before they actually finish their initial training like what was happening a year ago.
Advice - just be calm, keep your attention to the next step and don't get distracted with rumors or upgrades. Just get through class. The rest will follow.

It took about 3 weeks, with me giving them a followup call on the 2nd week. They pretty much told me they're going through a bunch of resumes and they will call me if im qualified when they get to my resume. A buddy of mine who's already in ground class kinda dropped some names including mine.

Jaded, not sure where you're coming from, but this is a good company and I'm sure you'll enjoy working here. Congrats and welcome aboard. By the way, hope for the 200/900- going from the CRJ to the saab will hurt your brain! ;-)

Pinnacle will temporary operate Freedom CRJ900s owned by Delta and I assume painted in Delta colors just like the Pinnacle CRJ900s they currently fly. Makes sense to me.
Mesaba does not operate CRJ900s for Delta nor do they operate aircraft painted in Delta colors. However they have a CRJ900 simulator configured to for training in both types of instrumentation and are ramping up staffing / training.
My guess. As Pinnacle gets a new CRJ900 delivery, they will release an ex Freedom CRJ900 to the paint shop where it will be painted in the new (merged) Delta/NW colors then be assigned to Mesaba.
Makes sense to me.

Me too. Post bancruptcy, it's important to keep as much profit in house as possible to affect the bottom line that investors want to see. I expect all wholly owned Northwest properties to see growth in the future. It would not surprise me at all if Anderson still had an individual financial interest in Compass and Mesaba.

I don't even think it'll have to go to paint, because it seems that the current DL paint scheme is the one that will continue after the merger is complete. Regarding the 900 navigation equip... it was my understanding that the next gen 900s (which Freedom operate) have IRS's just like the XJ and 9E ones. If so, there's nothing to change in the sim at the training center. AFAIK those Freedom 900s are configured exactly the same as the 9E ones which are configured exactly like the XJ ones.
