Does Mesaba provide binders for Jepp plates, or must I have my own when I show up to class? Found the answer, no, sorry. For thoes who are flying now, how many 2" binders of Jepp plates do I need? At Expressjet I needed 3 2" binders.

Flying the Slaab I am just dandy with two 2 in. binders. That will fit all your plates, low/high enroutes and airport cards

How are the company provided headsets in the Saab? I was using the Bose Quiet Comfort/UFlyMike adapter in the ERJ and I'm pretty sure the Saab will be a little louder (even through the ERJ is pretty loud) Anyway, point being... I don't really want to buy a new headset at this time and my old setup I feel just won't cut it. How are the company provided ones? Or is there anyone out there that uses the UflyMike setup in the Saab?

Quick question to those who have gotten a call after the interview...

...how long before you got a call offering you the job?
...or how long before getting a letter in the mail rejecting you?

I interviewed yesterday. I'm hoping for some good news.

They're the basic-as-basic-gets David Clarks. Most people who use them will put earplugs on underneath them. The noise can make a 4 day trip seem pretty long. I've got the ANR DC's from my instructing days and they do just fine. You could try the earplug/company headset setup for a little bit and if that's still not cutting it, then shell out the cash.
