Watch out with saying its not a rumor. They decide something one day and the next it is totally different so until all the people come out of the pool, I will not believe anything. Welcome to Mesaba.

Mgmt or HR, it doesn't matter. The killer to the rumor is simply the vacancy out for NEW HIRES for the 900.
I'd also beg to differ that we're over staffed on the saab. The realigning solved that problem and it seems were finally properly staffed, maybe even slightly under. Overstaffing does not yield lines built to 90-95 hours with few days off. Over staffing gives tons of days off and lines at 75 hours.

Talk to the MSP FOs... their lines are awful for Sept. Low days off, high block. The 12 900 CA positions are likely to come from current saab CA positions. As the jet vacancies continue, they'll have to backfill the saab sooner or later.

I was discussing that yesterday.... The staffing numbers don't add up to keep releasing Saab captain seatlocks for the jet without a backfill. Either The captain seatlocks need to stay or they need to let the fo's backfill into the Saabs. Of course either probably poses the problem that many of those fo's would come from the crjs and not the Saabs, requiring a realignment of some Saab fo's to the crjs. Seeing what the next CR9 vacancy and the October bid lines look like should be very telling.

Hmm...Vacancy 8-15 rev. 1 is quite interesting, hopefully in a good way! Looks like if I read it right 35 new hires between the 900 and the saab, maybe the pool can be drained a little. Also looks like at least 8 more MSP SF3 FO slots for those waiting.
I guess that means as far as staffing predictions

Even more so, still releasing the Saab captain seat locks to go to the 900 and NOW backfilling some of those spots on the SAME vacancy. Can anyone explain why NOW that makes sense when this time last year that was out of the question..... Anyone, anyone?
