I agree the seatlocks should never have been there to begin with. But they were there and everyone knew it before they took Saab captain spots. And as such I bid the jet because I should have had better relative seniority on it compared to the Saab. And I would have with the locks. I (foolishly) believed the company when they said that the locks wouldn't be released at all, bid carefully. The jet upgrades didnt' get to the point of hitting the bottom of the list. They got to the point of a couple 07 newhires getting the award when the company then went oh $h!t and released the locks rather than chancing any more newhires getting the award. That is my guess why they are still releasing locks rather than now that they are backfilling putting the locks back on. If they did then the bid would have at least a few 07 hires again.

2 to 3 weeks, sometimes longer. When I applied, I waited about 3 1/2 weeks, only to be told, C YA in the fall, hiring had pretty much stopped.

I've had mine in for almost a month now, still no word. Anybody else had any luck? I know I'm likely up against some higher time guys out there.

I heard they were still interviewing low timers, some posters on another board said he was called at I think 420 tt with 100 me, don't qoute me on that.

What has been everyone else' experience? I would think low timers would not be making much headway with all the furloughs right now.

Talked to a union rep yesterday about the issue of the massive amount of new hires being brought in on the latest award...

He told me flat out that on Monday(Aug 25) NWA called and told us they were increasing our flying by 10% starting October and they wanted to get everyone in here and trained so we wouldn't be understaffed around that time...

He also told me that if you start seeing vacancies like this one with huge numbers of new hires being taken from the pool and into training....he said and i quote "somethings up"
