Just decided to start posting. Don't worry not another flame baiter or troll or whatever.

I am getting sick of this anti-XJ attitude that shows up on these forums. Most of it is because of these flamebaits starting rumors posing as spiky hair, epaulet upside down. i pod wearing 900FO (still haven't seen one yet). No need to kill a good forum or ruin the name of a good company. Let's keep it on track and help people find quality information.

Long time lurker, first time poster, eh?

Yeah, I was one of those for quite a while, then I just could not remain neutral anymore!

How much are new hires on reserve at Mesaba flying per month? I know that probably varies per a/c and base, but any info would help. Also, are you guys paid during training?

Yeah, it seems that XJ is the flavor of the month. We were flying below the radar (no pun intended) until everyone stopped hiring. Then XJ started hiring again and everyone got all bent out of shape. A few on here then started in that our contract is lowering the bar, taking jobs from mainline, etc, etc, etc. The -900's didnt appear to be a problem and neither did the pay until XJ was awarded 15 more. Now according to some on here, every FO is spiky hair, upside down epulet wearing, "9" driver, who brags about not being on rsv for more than a month.....please. As soon as we stop hiring or other regionals pick back up they will go back to ripping on Pinnacle/RAH/Colgan. Welcome to the forum Bignellyxx.

Here is a question for those of you that dont need to boost your ego and make you feel better by talking ____.

I hear that Mesaba is acquiring 15 new CRJ's in "hopes" of acquiring a new contract?

Should I be concerned about giving up a seniority number just to get into Mesaba training and be sent home in training, or after training, because Mesaba expanded too much and didnt get the contract they wanted?

Thats depressing. Are you the type to try to fly as much as possible? Is it because of the base or the aircraft your in? Is it better on the Saab? (CRJ-200 is overstaffed right?)

If I can some how get MSP, I wouldnt mind it too much, I would get a 2nd job.
