I heard that chq will be getting 60days notice. I think this is great not for chq but for Larry the been counter serves him right.
|
I am happy that chq is in IAH I have not had a hard stand since they came to town keep up the bad work.

There is no way in h3ll that anyone will ever fly over 50 seat jets for Cal other than Cal pilots. Our new contract sucks, the only thing we have that is worth a darn is our scope clause.

Wouldn't that be a kick in the nuts for Xjet. Go ahead Slaab, make your wise crack about the 170 pay at Republic. This is about where you do that, isn't it?

Not Going To Happen
Bedford is going to need more than a bible to make scope go away. Management at CAL doesn't have anything left in their arsenal to persuade 4,000 pilots to give up scope....

I am happy that we got to expand our bases and that Larry made the 69 planes ExpressJet got to keep new LR's and XR's. Made us more marketable to Delta and we never have to bump pax off our branded for weight restrictions. Express keeping the 69 jets and not telling CAL until the date in our contract isn't our fault. I don't get why people would be mad that our managment found flying four OUR PLANES without under cutting others. I'm not mad Chautauqua is flying 25% of CAL flying but I hope Larry learned his lesson and keeps 75% of the flying with us in 2008 or he can give us more XR's to fly for others.

So wait for 53 aircraft to get built, or start flying now. I personally wished they had waited, done a lil' planning beyond "Hey, this looks fun" and gone down there with a lil' more preparation instead of having crews trying to play ops agent and get everyone to do what we need just to get outta the gate even close to on-time. The guys who have spent some time down in IAH know what I mean...
And some of those airplanes have been sitting a lot longer than 2006. And by my count, 2007 - 3 years is middle of 2004. Eitherway it doesn't really matter. One base doesn't speak for the whole company. Here in CMH we seem to be one sharp setup. The company makes money hand over fist. I'm hoping we open an IAH 145 base so I could be at home. I hope XJT continues to pickup flying on the westcoast. I bought stock in them lol. |
