Not sure what happened in the past, but the impression I got from current RAH pilots was that the situation had been resolved by the union. Won't affect either of us for quite a while though. Just remember that you can upgrade to any certificate. I'm going to the RW 170, but I may have to wait twice as long for a 170 upgrade(instead of first available upgrade) due to CRJ and ERJ guys upgrading to the 170 after their two year seat lock. That's at least two years away though. The ballgame could (and probably will) be completely different by then.

Maybe it has something to with the fact that the 145 has shorter legs (preferred by many) and more base options than the 170 - for the same pay!
Why would you want to fly 3.5-hour legs with an extra 24 passengers for the same money I make in the 145?

It has to do with the fact that at RAH, all FO's are paid the same. It doesn't matter which aircraft you start on, you are paid the same and seat/certificate locked until upgrade. At upgrade, you can go to any other certificate. You can continue to switch aircraft and certificates so long as it results in an increase in pay.
The only difference that mattered to me was the bases. The RW 170 has bases closer to where I want to live.

However, I cant seem to find out when the first class after 7/15 seems to be happening. Anyone?

I think we have hired 500 of the 1000 pilots that they announced at the end of last year. I am not too sure of this figure, but it seems that way. 500 more pilots to go. Maybe even more. Attrition is higher than expected.
