Should I get my stuff before class? In class? Once I finish?

Did you read this by FlyinCat?

Or my response to his quote?
Have you researched this topic within the specific regional sub-thread of the company who hired you?
Or emailed your recruiter?

If you’ve done all that and still have no answer (unlikely), maybe providing which regional you are starting with might yield a more helpful response. Aside from that, a little common sense might help at least answer the “when” question. Would you rather have your bag BEFORE or AFTER beginning IOE?

Yes, yes I have read all that. Yes I have done that. Or I wouldn’t be asking.
Let me rephrase;

My airline doesn’t provide allowance. Should I get my stuff before class? In class? Or once I finish?

Did you at least splurge for the double-wide back at the park, or is that too bougie for you?

To OP: LW bags are very popular. I’ve owned 3 over the last 15 years. But, ultimately, something broke with the handle, wheel bearings, or they just got dented up commuting.

Been pulling a StrongBag the last few years and it’s been the best piece of luggage I’ve ever owned. Sturdy, tough, efficient with space, and nothing has broke on it yet. Fwiw

I use the Travel Pro flight crew 5. I had the luggage works stealth, I couldn't stand it. It's heavy, cumbersome and imho just not built that great. If you must get a luggage works get the plastic frame one. other wise the Flight Crew 5 or the briggs and Riley.

Default StrongBags

I’ve got the StrongBags Vortex 21 and couldn’t be happier. Simple, more aesthetic than LW (IMO), lightweight, extremely durable and less expensive. No metal around the perimeter to get all bent up and look like crap like LW. I fly for a regional that gate checks carry-ons, so it’s been thrown in a lot of cargo compartments from DHs and non-revving. The lack of metal all around it also makes it less conspicuous and I use it for lots of personal travel, as well. Recessed handle makes it a great impromptu stool. Been using it hard for over three years now and it’s like new.

Default Why not regular luggage though?

Why not regular "passenger" luggage like the Samsonite (Centric Hardside Expandable Luggage with Spinner Wheels, Black, 20") that you already have in your closet for personal trips but also meets company standards? (AA WO)

Why pay for a separate bag if it doesn't stroll vertically on 4 wheels like all your passengers' luggage does? What if you don't need the J hook?
