Quote: Is the MEI the kicker, or do you still need the 100 multi regardless of total time?
Just from people I've known they've all had MEI's if under 100 multi. Never hurts to try though.

I been hearing rumors about LGA not having any 50 seats jets operate out of there. And I know CHQ has a base there whats the future of that and the flying out of LGA?

No clue. They closed down RIC so there's a few freed up.

They've supplemented some UAL flying there for the meantime and they have upgraded some CA's into there as well as moved some FO's in. However, when the whole 175 thing is over, there's going to only be 9 US Air 145's running around which was the bread and butter of that base. As near as I can tell, AWAC has been picking up the 50 seat stuff in LGA as we pull the 145 off of Airways and move it over to CAL. Best guess...who knows. Although I can think of a few other bases that should/would close before LGA goes the way of the buffalo.

Quote: get used to it, thats about how things are ran over here, its a Total Cluster cant remember the last word! If i were you, i would just send resumes to [email protected], and get their fax number from republicairways.com, thats what I did, two different people called me in the same day for an interview and then they asked me to fill out the online application, i told them i already had and they were like, "ok see you on friday"
This is truth. You'll upgrade before they realize you didn't go back and re-complete the application.

Wishful thinking???

I imagine that they'll close GSO, BUF, LGA, and CVG soon (12 months), probably in that order.

I got that same e-mail, stating the position had been filled with more qualified applicants, and then a month later asking me to re-apply.

Went to Skywest in the mean time though, so oh well.

Boy am I glad I didn't go to CHQ then! The only two bases that worked for me: RIC (axed!) and LGA (on the chopping block?)...*phew

Edit: Question mark added to "chopping block" LoL

I don't know where people are getting the idea that LGA is "on the chopping block." We just expanded LGA and it is going more junior than it ever has. There is a lot of CAL flying based out of there right now. I can't see BUF going anywhere anytime soon, because they have been dumping most of the newhires there recently (mostly against our wishes). There is no US flying out of BUF anymore, so the loss of US 145s will not affect it.

There seem to be quite a few RAH guys monitoring this thread... I've got a question for you.

To which domicile are most new hire FOs being sent? Any chance of a new guy getting DEN?

Thanks in advance. Republic seems like a good place to be.
