Still dont see how ALPA is going to change anything. Only resaon that colgan has these codeshares is because they do it for less. If they raise the pay for us. The codeshares could get there flying form another company. Like mesa. I feel we are all being put in bad position. Join ALPA and get put on the bottom of the senority list. Whenever it happens, and I feel like it will. Or, dont join and who knows what could happen. I am for a union. Just ALPA isn't the one. We can find a better union, if we looked.

BTW cheaper is not the reason we have gotten some of our contracts. We were undercut on our Continental flying but it was awarded to us.

. I agree that we are in a bad position, and by no means do I think ALPA will solve all of our problems... but ask anyone who has been violated by the FAA while here at Colgan- they were left out to dry.
When the Beech 1900 is phased out, I think this airline is going to change. It's hard to say whats going to happen with the senority list- but it's up the pilots. ALPA, or anyone but COLGAN, can't force us to do anything. Pinnacle sticks to wanting two seperate airlines running, and it sounds like thats what most guys want.
As far as other unions, never before has the pilot group been so unified- and it would probably be a struggle to get them all together again after the 1 year wait is up if the union is declined.
I know IAH is pretty much on board, and most of my fellow Beech FOs, but what about in the Northern SAAB bases?
I'd like to see the Beech have the same work rules as the SAAB as a starting point. No reason we should be punished.

I'm that kind of guy that wants sandwiches stocked in the fridge at hub bases for us.
