Mudpupppy you're assuming colgan will be able to staff those 800-1000 pilots.

"We greatly respect our pilots and the choice they have made," said Mike Colgan, President of Colgan Air Inc. "Now, we turn our entire focus to taking advantage of the growth and opportunities we have planned, creating more jobs and prosperity for all of us here at Colgan."

Ohh yess... Colgan is all about RESPECT. In other words... Mike says... thank god that we don't have to pay our airplane drivers more money!

Why don't pilots stand up for themselves?

The current Vice-President of Administration (arguably the most important VP position) is an American Eagle pilot.

The reason that you don't see more regional guys in the top positions is that it takes many years of experience to be able to do these jobs. Most reps at the regionals aren't there long enough to gain that experience and reputation that is required to get these jobs.

Take it from my experience. ALPA is not working for you. It truly isn't. Jeeze it isn't working for us at USAirways. And we paid 11 million in dues last year.
The problem you have is that your expectations aren't matched with reality. ALPA can't fix a seniority integration for you when your own local reps decided to go to binding arbitration. Blame your MEC, not ALPA. No matter how much you paid in dues, you're still bound by the Constitution & By-laws and the Admin Manual. You guys wanted binding arbitration, so that's exactly what you got. Don't blame ALPA for your own MEC's mistakes.

But if you did not want the union you did not have to call or vote. That is why I dont know why people say "only 50% voted." Well yeah, cause the other 50% plus 4 votes did not need to call or vote. A no vote was a vote for "no."

If you CJC guys had more than 15 minute turns, you would have time to take a look at your work rules... I think you'd be pretty impressed. As fate would have it, I happen to have a copy of those work rules in front of me at the moment... I love leafing though the FAR/FC

On a side note, I'm looking forward to having no further automated messages left on my cell from the Colgan ALPA committee. I haven't been an employee there for 3+ months and I kept getting those stupid messages inviting me to lunch.. I was half tempted to show up anyway.

SAAB, please...you made a decision to leave and so far it has worked out that is great for you. It just gets so old hearing you go on and on about how bad Colgan is and how the pilots who work there are idiots...you do not work here anymore! Get over it.

Oh and by the way I have been here a year, home everynight, and had 120 credit and 98 block last month. That is what it seems you base everything on, right?
Yeah, your right, and what did you spend your $600.00 per diem check on..........................oh wait a second I almost forgot your airline doesnt pay per diem

Whats your second year pay rate again...................?

Oh I have off 17 days off next month, how about yourself?

Whats your domicile rest again?

How do you trip trade/drop stuff/advertise stuff?

The list is endless you work for an bottom feeder airline, mostly because management walks all over you and you reward them with voting no to ALPA............there ya go, keep up the great work..........how long have you been there?
