Talked to a ramp agent today that says all the vendors in Concourse C still have their products on the shelves over there. They are hearing that it will reopen within the next month. What other rumors are out there?

So I haven't posted here in a while, but I read and keep up with the moaning and groaning that is going on here just to get a laugh. First of all to address the guy that said he spoke with the CEO of out illustrious company and that he had "NO" good news... would you mind elaborating on that? Seriously, what kind of a CEO, even when the Vage was here, would bad mouth a company that they were put in charge of in times like this when they should and know they should be lucky to have a job?
Second, why do you people moan and groan and complain or seem to think you know what is going to happen. Two months ago, Mesaba on this thread was the place to be and that our great MEC was at least helping us go there. From what I saw and was wrapped up in there was a communication gaff between the Mesaba MEC and their HR, they now no longer are receiving those CRJs and quite possibly will be furloughing as well. Good call guys...
Second, in this economical environment, why even speculate on what will happen, might happen or won't happen because none of use here have one clue what is going to happen a year from now especially with the current administration that is taking over the Oval Office.
Last, shouldn't this be a thread to pass along viable information or at least keep in touch with people you know to see how things are going rather than bash people in cvg, jfk or Timbuktoo or the company considering we have no real role in what happens considering we aren't CEOs, CFOs or (fortunantly) chief pilots???
Yes I am a furloughed pilot, yes I am unfortunantly on unemployment, and yes I am looking for a job and quite possibly might have found one amazingly in this industry. However, I did not waste my time on here speculating or talking trash about a company that did at least hire me. I read what's being written on here and it makes me laugh and in some ways makes me wonder are you guys part of the problem of what's wrong with Comair and part of the reason we have people that do hate CVG and being in ops because all it was was you people *****ing and moaning day in and day out about a job now you wish you had back.

Kroger, Macy's, Frontgate, Luxottica (US HQ) are a few more.
When you say no good news, what was some of the things he shared with you? More furloughs, a slow wind down of Comair? I'm thankful they did at least hire me and the five other pilots in other capacities to work for them, with the thought of moving to the flight side of the house, but if NG4 sees something that will adversly affect that, well..............

Question - What do you see for Comair in the year 2009?
Answer - "I see no good news coming our way this year. My goal for 2009 is to try to keep the company from shrinking any further than it has. I don't foresee bringing anyone back that has or will be furloughed, but will try not to furlough further."
Question - With the furlough of FO's on the lower end of the pay scale, isn't it true that the cost per hour to operate the aircraft is increased (with higher paid crew) and isn't it true that DAL claims that we are already more expensive than other DCI carriers?
Answer - "This is very true, and we are going to have to make further cuts in spending in other areas of the company to make up for this problem."
Question - What do you see happening if Mesa loses the court case with DAL?
Answer - "I really don't see Comair getting any of that flying if Freedom is not around, in fact I see much of that flying being cut all together by DAL."
Question - When Comair got the CRJ in 1993, they were at the leading edge of regional airline technology. Why did Comair never advance technology by getting more 700's, 900's, E-170's, or E190's. Now, with the desire to do away with 50 seaters, Comair is behind every other DCI carrier. In a reply to my letter to RA, he blamed Comair management and ALPA for this. Isn't it DAL that determines who gets the planes now that we are wholly owned?
Answer - "RA said that it was Comair's fault? Hmmm."
Question - CVG seems to be filled with other DCI regionals (skywest, republic, mesa, etc), even though that is Comair's home base. Why is this?
Answer - "DAL has determined to not let any one carrier dominate any one location, so they use several carriers in CVG. The other carriers still operate cheaper than Comair, even after the markup is taken off our costs."
These were some Q&A's, I actually talked to him for around 20 minutes. I also still have copies of the letter to RA and his reply, if anyone is interested. It was previously posted on a different forum.
Final note: JB - "I'm not here to hide anything or blow smoke up anyone's ass. It doesn't look good for us right now, and I will tell you that."

"oh I um found this letter lying around that some FO wrote to RA....! LOL! Just copy it and RA's reply, from JC and post it here.Delta has made us reliant on them purchasing aircraft for us since they took us over. Comair had a **** load of 50 and 70 seaters on order. Delta converted the orders over to them and gave them to other DCI carriers. Fred tried to buy some E-170s but that's when Delta let Freedom into DCI for the exact number of aircraft we were going to buy. Fred hated MAG and wouldn't let them into DCI while he was incharge of DCI. As soon as he left, his replacement let Freedom in to DCI. Oh and ShutChaupublic said they could fly 170 for cheaper, so that didn't help us out either.
