Comair updates?
Outstations? Like Louisville, CMH, DAY, LEX, CRW? Backward places like that? (no offense to people from those areas
it's just that the area is not really known for business savvy or anything really relevant, except coal mining and pot growing
)
Ouch, SoCal to NoKY! What a culture shock! Keep those boxes packed in the garage and ready to go!

Actually I went from SoCal to Delta Connection Academy, to Comair MCO. Left Comair the day we went into Ch.11, got a management spot at Mesa where I gouged my eyes out with a pencil on a daily basis for a year and came back to Comair for less pay and a demotion. So yeah I always keep as many boxes packed as possible. I came back to Comair because of the atmosphere and that no longer exhists. It left the day Richard Anderson took over Delta. Delta stopped exhisting that day as well. Welcome to Northwest with a new name!
According to Ng4 it will never comeback and we all have to change the Comair corporate culture from what it used to be, to one filled with Narcs, backstabbers, and those willing to throw you under the bus and even back up over you for good measure. The family atmoshpere that was one here and harbored by all is forever gone. I see the Comair jobs program going away as well. Comair loved to promote from within. Now look for more outsiders to be hired in order to change the corporate culture and it will be harder for those who survive the cuts to move up the ladder from within the company.
Wendy's - started by Dave Thomas, born 1932 in Atlantic City, NJ (first Wendy's was in Columbus 1969, but his first restaurant the Ranch House Restaurant was in Fort Wayne, IN). Still a NJ native

Kinko's - Started by Paul Orfalea in Isla Vista, CA in 1969
Limited - In 1961, Leslie Wexner went to work in father's women's clothes store (CMH) and it progressed from there (you get this one)
Express - Started in Chicago 1980. Integrated with Structure, a Limited company in 2001, who sold 75% of shares to Golden Gate Capital in 2007 (SFO based)
Bob Evans - Started in Rio Grande, OH - 91 miles South of CMH
Abercrombie - Started in 1892, in NYC, by David Abercrombie (Born in Baltimore, MD). Later merged with Ezra Fitch of Kingston, NY
NetJets - Started as Executive Jet Aviation in 1964 in CMH, later bought by Berkshire Hathaway (of Omaha, NE)
2 out of 7 ain't bad
Theres people from all over not just from back woods outstations. There are quite a few Florida plates around the GO. People that have moved up the ladder from CS positions at out stations.

I've only been here 2 years and even in that time, I have seen so many changes (all bad). I was never negative about the company or my job, until the last 6 months. I have seen people being furloughed, people being fired for hearsay, schedule violations, cut backs in just about every facet of the company, and all the displacement...no displacement....displacement...furlough back and forth with no concern for peoples lives or families. I have spoken with the new CEO and he has NO good news for this company. I have read a letter from RA that showed DAL's lack of concern in Comair's situation.
The company started with just small piston a/c and grew to a great airline, at the front of technology in the 1990's......when DAL took over, it should have become even greater....but it only got worse and continues to get worse every day. But, we all know that.
