Our last CEO (our two or three ago... I can't remember we've had so many) said Richard Anderson gave approval to seek flying from other carriers, as Delta would benefit from Comair's additional income, since they own us and all.

But who knows, he lied about everything else too.

That is actually a possibility and could be accomplished with 'cloud computing.' Locally, NKU has a mobility application and development lab so you could contract with them to build it on the cheap then sell it to Comair acting as the broker.

As for the BOHICA application, that's just beautiful!

Not sure how things are looking now, but IIRC, Bubba mentioned last year that United reps had visited the Comair facilities a number of times...and were apparently happy with what they saw.

Comair WILL NEVER be flying for anyone else. They will remain Delta's biatch until DL no longer needs them. UAL doesn't want any piece of crap 50 seater's. The closest Comair will ever get to United Express is the ground handling, but that's it.

My guess is, IF this flying is really up for grabs, it will probably go to SkyWest. They already fly for UAL, the Mesa Dash 8s in DEN could be easily replaced by the Brasilia's.

Am I thinking too much about this?

In the latest message NG5 stated that Delta has not release Comair’s fall schedule. But today Mesaba announce they will furlough up too 110 pilots, because of the parking of the Saabs and fall schedule. My question is; why is it taking so long to fine out Comair's fall schedule? Bendo already stated we will be down to 80 A/C in the future. Or maybe our fall schedule will not be that bad (did I pick the wrong day to stop sniffing glue)?

Delta sucks; Mesaba just announced furloughs starting in August. Comair announcement will be next. This industry and thread has nothing but bad news. I should ban my self from the forum.

Thank you Delta for taking care of your employees.

Sorry to the Mesaba guys, but I think most of us saw it coming when DL announced the reassignment of the CRJ900s, and now cutting the Saab fleet. I'm not sure, but I bet if they would have gotten the CRJ900s instead of giving them to ASA, the furlough number would have been smaller. Now, also imagine some of us furloughed Comair guys would have actually started class back at the beginning of the year. I don't know if I could have handled 2 furloughs in one year.

Like I mentioned a few posts back. "It will get worse before it will get better". At least the Mesaba guys will have options of Voluntary Furloughs. We didn't get crap at Comair.

new straight talk message.

I'll save you all the 10 mins of listening. We are still waiting for delta to give us our fall schedule.
