Hey, the 'other' side of ops is open now. Still vanilla and the cans are still barricaded, but it would make a nice arena for buffer broncos!

Oh, and save yourself the curiosity of checking out the emergency exit on the exterior wall. It leads to a nasty-a$$ urine-smelling stairwell. Guess it's the homeless rampie hangout. I'm sure the smokers will sanitize the aroma

Latest merger rumor:

Will happen sooner than expected.
Lists will be combined with relative seniority rather than DOH. Evidently, that's how DL/NW did it...precedent.
Baseline date for relative sen. is before the furloughs.

Mind you, this is 2nd to 3rd hand SWAG (scientific wild-*** guess)

As I keep mentioning; that as soon as Delta gets their SOC that's when the Delta's post merger plans will start to reveal themselves.

So if this were to occur..would this mean that there would be a shift in who's furloughed?

No ALPA/ALPA merger in history has ever gone this way. They ALWAYS staple the furloughed pilots to the bottom of the combined sen. list.

If us furloughed people get screwed / comair gets screwed in this merger after we were the only pilot group to be paying a "merger fund" I will have lost faith (whatever I did have left) in our Union.....
If that happens, you all should seriously sue your leadership.

When I interviewed at Mesaba in Dec. of 2008...One of the first questions I got from the pilot rep was ..."tell us about this merger fund.....because we're wondering if we should be starting one". The pilot asked the question...but the HR lady seemed interested too. He wanted to know why CMR ALPA was collecting it,..and what our MEC was saying they were going to do with the funds.

I don't think Mesaba has/had one..and if they do..it was definitely started after us.
