Never said, on the stub it just stated flight penalty, nothing else except date route and ONE HUNDRED AND FIFTY DOLLARS and will be deducted from next check.....Must be recalling me!!!!!!!
OH pass bureau said it seemed to be an error with software and other employees have had the same notice sent to them.

I remember non-reving the very first day of the change over. I was on a DL mainline flight and I was suppose to be S3CR, but I was S3B like always before, and I got a nice first class seat ahead of many others. IRRC, it was corrected a few days later.

I've yet to receive a penalty or anything like that. Hopefully I won't.

If you do, call the OH pass bureau (if you are OH) and explain, they will take your employee number verify the date and send DL an email/fax letting them know credit the account.

Default Just wanted to say thanks!!

I was on a road trip the other morning up to DTW. Caught a ride on a Comair 50 seater. Passenger next to me was being a total "A" hole the whole time, *****ing and whining about us having to defuel some because we were over fueled, *****ing about having to de-ice etc. etc. The FA just ignored him, which I have no idea how she managed to do it...I wanted to say something but did not want to get in trouble. Made sure I thanked her after the flight. I know all of our jobs suck right now, but just know there are people out there that still respect the jobs pilots, and flight attendants do. and the crap you guys put up with.

As a mechanic I understand what being professional is about, I believe we are all way underpaid for the responsibility we have. Hopefully some day the flying public will understand also.

I need a bit of advice from some senior (or junior) reserve FOs in JFK...

I'm coming back from the COLA and I decided to bid reserve (this may have been a very big mistake!). Anyway... I should be about #2 or #3 on reserve but I don't know anything about long call cuz I haven't been on reserve since 2007. I live in NYC and my goal is to fly as LEAST as possible... what do I bid??

AND is there a change with the whole call in window the day before - is it considered a "work" day?

Thanks!

I would wait and see how many people are actually on reserve for March. If there is a large number and you are near the top, long call would be a good option. However, A7 might give you the opportunity to stay at home.

Long call has a few issues. If you are senior, you generally won't fly. But, it's all about the run down. If you are in the bottom 60%, you will be converted to SC, which may not matter as much if you live in base. However, even if they leave you alone and don't convert you, the next day you may find yourself assigned a RR. I've noticed they will bring in LCs to do RR just to increase their number of SCs on property for that day.

A7 is nice for a few reasons. Most of the CDs leave after you would be legal to report. Also, if you are used for a CD, you will have the following days off.

Look at previous month's reserve availability reports to see who is flying and who is sitting.

Good luck.

After watching the Frontline show the other night, and seeing how that one guy was upgraded to captain after 9 months, I began to wonder.....

Are the FO's at Comair ready to wait 10 years or so for upgrades?

Are the downgraded captains ready to be FO's for another 5 years or more until they "upgrade"?

What a sad state this airline is in. Colgan hiring, Express Jet recalling, Eagle hiring, Air Wisconsin hiring....seems like the only regionals that are having problems....fly for Delta.

Just things that one ponders at 1:30 in the morning

Anyway, I see that the KLM pilots are now taking training from Delta (except they take off from the taxiway, not land on it)
