Don't lose hope guys. I flew all of 1 hour in 2009 before getting picked up by Cape, so there are still some reasonable people out there that understand there are a lot of furloughs right now.

Since furlough (January), I flew roughly 20-25 hours, which was a combination of General Aviation flying for currency and fun, ferry a plane or two and getting my ATP. Since furlough I’ve interviewed with Lynx, Ameriflight, Pt. 91 corporate job, SeaPort Airlines and Compass Airlines. Got turned down by Lynx, AMF and Compass. SeaPort I turned down because of the low pay and the Pt. 91 corporate job, which I was going to get, fell through because the owner ended up not getting the airplane. I’m frustrated as can be, but I’m getting pretty good at interviewing for jobs, but it would be nice if one would come with a job offer one of these days before unemployment runs out.

Boy, getting recalled by Comair is starting to look better every day...

Ferry Pilots Needed

For you guys that are still current. I haven't actually tried to pick up any trips off this site because I have been busy instructing. They usually want airline privileges, and time on type. It could be a good way to make a little extra cash. Good luck and hopefully we all get recalled someday.

Bring on the Jet Blue and Southwest service (at CVG). I'd love to see them come in to the land of Delta!
Jet Blue especially. Just think how much easier it would be for Comair crewmembers to commute to and from work.

Well, what am I suppose to do? I need to get current and flying again somehow, and if everything else has fallen through for me, there isn’t much left. There are some people have fallen a$$ backwards into a job and some just have to work harder. Life and this industry aren’t fair, but we all know that.

It sux out there I flown maybe 20-30hrs mix between a instructing gig I had in a Cirrus which was laid off a month later cuz they lost there international contract and now just buying time and splitting cost to rent a plane. If anyone is in the NY area and wants to fly let me know I need to shoot approaches.

Any furloughed Comair guys in the TPA area need to keep themselves current then I might be able to help with some cheap single engine flying. PM me if interested...
