Since furlough (January), I flew roughly 20-25 hours, which was a combination of General Aviation flying for currency and fun, ferry a plane or two and getting my ATP. Since furlough I’ve interviewed with Lynx, Ameriflight, Pt. 91 corporate job, SeaPort Airlines and Compass Airlines. Got turned down by Lynx, AMF and Compass. SeaPort I turned down because of the low pay and the Pt. 91 corporate job, which I was going to get, fell through because the owner ended up not getting the airplane. I’m frustrated as can be, but I’m getting pretty good at interviewing for jobs, but it would be nice if one would come with a job offer one of these days before unemployment runs out.
Boy, getting recalled by Comair is starting to look better every day...

Ferry Pilots Needed
For you guys that are still current. I haven't actually tried to pick up any trips off this site because I have been busy instructing. They usually want airline privileges, and time on type. It could be a good way to make a little extra cash. Good luck and hopefully we all get recalled someday.

Jet Blue especially. Just think how much easier it would be for Comair crewmembers to commute to and from work.

Well, what am I suppose to do? I need to get current and flying again somehow, and if everything else has fallen through for me, there isn’t much left. There are some people have fallen a$$ backwards into a job and some just have to work harder. Life and this industry aren’t fair, but we all know that.
Aghhh I know what you mean. In a few weeks I'm going to be laid off from Kentucky Unemployment. Not looking foward to that day. Out of all the people that are on here and still on furlough, how many of you have still not flown since being laid off? I've flown maybe 5 hours in 14 months. Depressing!
