No, you don't say. They couldn't thing about this ahead of time? What did I say in one of my last posts a few pages back? "I can't wait to see the training & transfer schedule and how they are going to pull this off". You'll probably see a few more "glitches" in the next few days...

I heard that Delta has been in talks with Mesa to just pay them off to go away. Maybe an agreement was finally reached.

I guess it could be for further cuts? Although this will set the process back a couple weeks because a new bid has to open and then close a week later. If it was further cuts I would have expected just an additional displacement bid.

All you "we got flying from United" guys could finally be correct.

any other good ones??
ALPA and Mgmt are playing nice, i think this is all it's going to be.

Uh, and what exactly do you think these forums are? Just a HUGE rumor mill. If people really wanted to know what was happening, they wouldn't look here, they would either wait, patiently, or call their reps and ask. thats what I did, and I surprisingly had a great convo with the MEC chair. Almost an hour in fact. For those of you (like I was) who are doubting the union....Please call them! there is so much that they are not allowed to say on a public forum due to negotiations and strategy. If you have any anger about this situation (like I DID!!!!), it should be towards MGT and Delta.
But bottom line we all CHOOSE to be in this profession. And that includes the up's......and the downs. So lets all buck up, stand together, and show MGT that we will not fight among ourselves, which is what they want.

One other thing, the union needs extra volunteers, in many areas. They are super short and those who are helping are using their own days off to do union work that helps all of us. Lets get involved. And note, less than a dozen JFK pilots voted in the last election...... stop fingering your mouse pad and put your hand up! ;-)

Want to know why everything is up in the air? October 15 is fast approaching.

Guess who starts year two pay on Oct 15... newguy. The Vage. Delta will not allow his raise to happen. More money is suddenly at stake then a bunch of pilots on the payroll.

Maybe they'll just cool their jets and wait until our new CEO comes up with a plan before they go upsetting the pilots. And for Borat fans, that would be a "... Not! Joke"

Now they'll need to say "Chautauqua 6123" instead of the "6123" that most of them say out of habit. How unfortunate.
