I had to fly in a CRJ a few weeks ago. It reminded me how much sitting in the back of a CRJ sucks!

Yea riding in the back is less than desirable but always creates some humorous concerned looks from pax when the gear goes down.

hey guys, since you are doing quite a bit of DTW flying going forward, I was going to mention that when you pull into the B gates if you pull all the way forward to the zipper road most planes can get by behind you without turning to the left. I have noticed a lot of comair and freedom planes just turn into the gate and stop well short of the zipper road which is fine, but it creates a backup of planes that can't get by and then DTW ground ends up getting ****ed. Thanks!

P.s. I know none of you probably want to hear anything from anyone associated with pinnacle, but i have the common interest of the airport in mind.

Thanks for the tip. We're all furloughed, so it doesn't matter anyway... but I'll keep that in mind if I ever fly a plane again.

Here's some more advice for MSP and DTW, since Comair is obviously not telling you guys how the operation works.

DTW:

Make request calls on 128.82 all other calls (times, on ground etc...) 132.00
Pull up to the zipper road, but not onto the road.

MSP:

Circle 95 is the entry point to the ramp and 79 is the exit.

For gates C25-27, if the ramp doesn't look busy, we ASK if we can enter from 79. Don't just pull up, block the circle and then ask permission. Call ahead when you're close while on Q or P and ask there. Also, please don't sit at 79 waiting for numbers, doing your checklists etc... you won't be the only one in the queue. You'll notice that there will be gridlock if they're backed up on ground/meetering and someone is stuck at 79, with planes pushed in the alley and folks trying to enter at 95. Total CF at that point.

Pushing deep from A11-14 is normally ok, but call the iceman first, and ask ramp control first, so that you don't block access to the deice pad as folks going to the pad pass over circle 95 as well.

Ops freq. is 131.02 and ramp is 131.52.

Welcome to the Cities.
