Comair updates?
Ladies and Gentlemen, it was my absolute pleasure flying with and getting to know you at the same time. The end is near, but memories will never fade. I thank you all for those. My sadness as I'm typing these words it's uncontained, yet the somber smile on my face is from all those memories. Thank you again!.
I wish you all the best one person can wish to the most amazing group this man has ever encountered.
Be humble, be proud, and above all be good!.

Your MEC responded that hiring any pilots at Comair who do not resign their seniority at their previous carrier gives rise to numerous substantive concerns.
The Delta MEC's offer of (future) preferential hiring at Delta is not sufficiently substantive to overcome those concerns and solicit Comair pilots' support.
Relax the Delta PWA, Section 1, seat restrictions imposed upon Comair and ASA that limit our growth in 70-seat and larger airframes.
Negotiate Delta Brand Scope language with Delta management that defines all Delta flying within the Delta revenue stream to be performed solely by Delta, Comair, and ASA pilots.
Negotiate a plan for future integration of our Delta, Comair, and ASA pilots seniority lists that fairly recognizes the efforts and contributions of all.

Essentially, this guy gambled the livelihood of every Comair pilot by holding Delta furloughees hostage.
Epic Fail.
this is the most recent news from Epic....... (ouch)

All Employees Ryan Gumm, President Comair Update
July 13, 2012
In view of significant changes in the economic and competitive conditions in the regional airline industry in recent years, we have been advised that Delta continues to explore strategic alternatives for Comair, as they have previously communicated. I expect Delta to make a decision by the end of July on that strategic direction. We do not anticipate any further communication regarding Delta’s plan for Comair until a final decision has been made. At the same time, we commit to keeping you advised of developments.
Thank you for your continued professionalism and focus on safety and the operation. Please remember to take care of your fellow crewmembers and our customers each day out on the line.

Also throw in the CMR pilots lawsuit against ALPA as another placeholder.
For the current more recent pilots, hope you all find new jobs quickly!
I feel like its time for a eulogy for Comair. For all the heartburn between pilot groups and who is right and who is wrong, let's put it aside. Some are happy that we are shutting our doors, some are eagerly awaiting the airplanes we are flying, and many are going to be so negatively effected by this closure. Yes, we can all say how stupid it is to be a "lifer" at this place, and to stay here for the past 5 years while the writing has been on the wall...buta0 realize this impacts more than the people that put on the Comair uniform. Their families that depend on them for their livelihood and dinner on a table, and so on. I know there are people that will talk about a regional being a stepping stone and the shouldn't have set up nest, and how there are other places to go....but forget all the disagreemenrs for now as an entire airline is about to shut down and perhaps positions that we can't even understand are effected. There obviously are some people that I can't wait to tell off, like Amber and "cant think of her name" in scheduling. Enough rambling and bot looking for sympathy.....but F the fighting with Comair. It's over. Comair is over. Move on and good luck! My drink is also over.....goodnight.
