Any word on when the summer schedule block hour proposals come out?
May and June are out already. DTW,CVG, and JFK/LGA are pretty much even; with a little MSP, ATL and MEM thrown in for good measure. Don't know for sure how many block hours. Pinnacle is going to do some JFK and more LGA flying as we move some over to DTW. Heck they've enven got several CVG lines as well!

Bubba - why in the world would the rampers have any involvement in your maintenance/parts issues?
We ship parts mostly Delta DASH on revenue flights for tracking purposes. It gets to DTW and it disappears and will miraculously show up promptly the next morning. RE does the DASH transfers and drops DTW DASH off at DL Cargo. This is the only place that this happens at. Management is involved and is rectifying the issue...I hope. If it's a repo flight we'll send stuff COMAT in the cargo bay and contract mx will take it off the a/c.

Any plans for our own mx people in DTW? wouldn't mind a crewbase there either.

There's a contingency plan for one; but I'm sure things are going on behind the curtain. It'd help soooooo much to have one and it's much closer than JFK if we need to drive parts. It's almost 5 hour drive.

I wonder if there will be even a slight increase in flights?

While the increase in local passengers is encouraging, I think the load factor percentages are a little misleading. As I understand it, a load factor is going to increase if the same number of passengers are flying yet the number of available seats has decreased. Seeing as how Delta has slashed frequencies out of CVG and probably even downsized aircraft, I don't know how much I would read into that. Perhaps someone can explain it better or even prove me wrong, though.

I think you hit the nail right on the head. Seems kind of silly to talk about "explosive growth" at an airport that has about 30% of the flights it had a few years ago.
