I agree with you, with just a twist. I plan on taking one of the early dates. Not as a favor or thank you to Comair, but as a "it's time to get back on with my life" to me. We've all spent over $100,000 in flight training and education. I took a 50% cut in pay when I was furloughed. I think I owe it to myself to get back in the air. I live 5 miles from CVG, have my whole life.

Just my one cent

I agree with you to a point. Regardless of what you think about the company, you have to do what's best for you. I'm guessing most people will take the first available recall and get back on the horse.

Of course, your mileage will vary

You should always do whats best for you and your family. It just seems as if the airlines with the best pilot/mgmt cooperation seem to be the most profitable and happiest.

He just closed the door and walked not 5 minutes ago. Maybe he'll be back. Sorry.

I just got my letter in the mail. Spolier's dates are correct:

If anyone wants details on the letter, let me know. Doesn't say a whole lot that we don't already know.

Would like to know...........if one gets to pick the date they want. Is it based on seniority or purely just up to the recalled pilot?

I would think that you get to pick your top three choices or something like that and then it is awarded based on seniority.

I don't trust management one bit! They don't give a rats about you, your family or your career, and we have seen that in the past. I'm not going to help out the company, I have to do what is best for me and my family, because the company wouldn't help me either if it were the other way around. It is is not only Comair management, it's also DL!

I am happy to finally see some good news for Comair, but I also feel bad for the Freedom guys, which is the only reason we got this flying and I hope this recall with be permanent and they can bring back some more pilots, but Comair still has a lot of obstacles in front of them, including contract negotiations and I hope they won't pull what UPS Mgmt. is doing right now to their pilots and I sincerely hope that Comair is not being used like usual as a reserve regional to "temporarily" cover the F8 flying while DL is looking to assign it again to some other DCI carrier.
