As I said before I worked at Comair on the ramp and I know lots and lots of crews from every Delta Connection carrier and I feel safe in saying there are very very very few who would gloat and even less that would vocalize it to others let alone passengers.
I think maybe you are misunderstanding everything I said. Let me first start off by saying that I apologize for not having my story straight. When I first heard it, I was so angry I just wanted to let off some steam. This is my favorite spot for that. And again apologize because I am very bad with my words when it comes to telling stories. After I posted here I thought id get the exact verb-age from my friends and family on what was said to the pax. Here it is "We are sorry for not pulling into the gate on time, earlier today the people here at Cincinnati just found out they were losing their jobs so they are taking their time and are in no hurry to pull us into the gate."

Currently, my mom is a gate agent for RHS. Thus I have many friends who are also gate agents, ground crew, and flight attendants who work for Comair/RHS. Some of these people I have invited to my home and know me very well. I am also a Comair furlough as many people on this board are. I have stood by many Comair employees over the years and watched as lots of jobs were cut. I will continue to stand by them as all of us struggle to keep or find jobs. Anyone who disrespects the Comair/RHS employees as we struggle to keep our jobs, will never gain or deserve any respect from me. This Freedumb crew is no different. I stand by every word I have said. Good luck to every Comair/RHS crew member.

Default so sorry...

To all the RHS employees. I'm so sorry to hear the bad news. As a former Comair pilot, I want to say thank you for all your hard work over the years. You guys are the best agents in the DL network. Any one who ever flown into places like ATL, JFK, and LGA would understand why you are the best. I truely hope that all of you would find new employer who would treat you with respect. Can't anyone find a lawyer who can look into why Dick Anderson just keep on dismantelling Comair ever since he took the office? Seems like every time a pilot group makes a mistake, the whole country goes after them. Who goes after the management when they make a bad decision? Good luck Y-All.

Maybe this has already been brought up but why does Comair have a post on avjobs for pilots. Minimums 1000 and 200. Lack of work for HR?

Companies like avjobs and climbto350 post jobs that do not exist so you can sign up for their service. That is my opinion only and not a proven fact.

Yet one more way that DL is funding the competition, albeit indirectly. Nature and economics abhor a vacuum and I hope a company like JetBlue comes in to CVG and cleans DL's clock. The good folks at REAS that lost their jobs will be happy to provide the same excellent service that they provided to Comair to a new employer. JetBlue/Southwest/AirTran would love to have them on their payroll.

I think ATP or one of those similar schools pays for the ads so the naive new pilots out there will pay $50K to go through the "Regional Jet Course" thinking they are going to get a job at Comair.

Just like DCA is no longer owned by Delta, but finagled a deal in the purchase agreement to use their current advertising for 9 months. There is also no mention anywhere on their site that Delta sold them off.

Comair in CVG? I doubt that DAL would have staffed CVG with nearly 900 ground service workers etal if they could have picked up the slack with DAL employees. DAL or Comair is in for the mother of all downsizing - you decide who but my money is on hub closure. Remember, Anderson is NWA as are all the mgmt at DAL now. They will favor DTW over CVG imo.
