someone help me out here. I think they are awarding trips illegally again. If a 20 hours trip comes up in open time who gets it??

Senority all with the same available days.

fo 1 - projected 58 hours
fo 2 - projected 38 hours
fo 3 - projected 70 hours

Its my understanding that FO 1 would get it. They have to have over 60 hours before they skip them correct. Not this trip will put him over 60 hours.

Well that means Comair's future is shot. Delta took all of our money and we can barely afford paperclips without Delta spending money.

Thanks to the p.o.s. eMaestro, the "days available" that you see under Reserve Availability is worthless because it doesn't take into account pre-assigned ready reserves. In other words, you might see someone with 5 days available but on day 3 he/she has a RR. The days available won't reflect that and since the pilot isn't "available" for the 4-day that just popped up it won't be assigned. Chalk up another one for eMaestro.

From what i've heard first hand from schedulers..What they see in their own reserve availability page is even worse. They get even less information than WE do on their page.

Hooray, hopefully Bendoritis (no i wont put JB..his name is all over press releases, he's a public figure..i still don't get why people do that) does something about Messtro.

Delta-MSP Deal Approved @ AMTOnline.com Top News

"This agreement solidifies our commitment to Minnesota," DL CEO Richard Anderson said, adding that it "protects jobs and air service" at MSP. DL will keep 10,000 workers at its North headquarters, operate at least 400 daily flights at MSP and pay off loans from MAC to NWA by 2016 instead of 2022. DL also will base its regional airline management in the Minneapolis area.

Is this the first time that it has been confirmed that DCI will be in MSP?

I believe that was actually announce about a month or two ago about the regional airline management being moved from Atlanta to Minneapolis.

As per NG4, unless we get out overall cost down, Mesa losing Delta flying will not make any difference for Comair. NG4 stressed that we need to cut our cost across the board. And he is not just talking about flight crews. Do not expect to see any flying for Comair unless we reduce our cost significantly. That could take a couple of years.

On a different subject, what happened to the voluntary furloughs and long term COLA’s the union was talking about the last couple of weeks.

Check out this article fron the Mineapolis Star Tribune:

Delta Air Lines posts $1.4 billion 4Q loss, misses Wall Street estimates; Shares plunge

I particularly like the reader comment at the end of the article:

"WT*?
Let me get this straight: 1.4 B loss during the final 3 mos of 2008, net operating losses throughout 2008 and you want to buy another airline? Further, your venture gets approved despite of all the warning signs visible to all parties? This is insane and MSP will get f'd over when Delta finds it must sell all NWA's assets in order to stay afloat."

I wonder what this means for CMR?
