Comair updates?
I am a bit confused. The people that didn't get furloughed whine and complain about what a horrible place Comair is to work. The people that got furloughed but not recalled are just wishing they would get recalled. The people that are getting recalled (but working elsewhere) are complaining that Comair (that horrible place to work according to group 1) isn't being flexible enough in allowing them to bypass long enough to fulfill other contracts that they entered into. Is this straight?
Shortly after my upgrade at Comair I flew with a new hire, a young guy. He asked me if I was a Comair lifer. I replied that I had no idea how long I would be at Comair, that the airline industry takes some funny turns and that I felt lucky to just have a job. His response? "Hey, I'm only gonna be here two, maybe three years tops, then I'm moving on to a major. I'd really like to go to United." This was in 1998, and he is still there.

...and another thing: two yentas discussing the cruise they were just on
Golda: Oh, the food was just terrible. Overcooked, greasy, and just totally unappetizing.
Estelle: Yes, and such small portions, too.
