Hey Guys and Gals,
My First child was borned this weekend, and I went on FMLA. When I called the CP they asked when will I return, and I told him on sept 15. Here is my question. I have the end of this month as hard days off and the first 5 days of sept off. If I come back to work or take off my FMLA status durning those time. Will I have the same schedule or will they change it?
Thanks in Advance.

You should get your same schedule back. So come back from FMLA the day your hard days start. Atleast thats what happened when I took FMLA. However I was also a line holder so i dont know if that matters.
edit: Once you come back from FMLA you can not go back on without filling out all of the paperwork again and getting the DR. to sign it.

Anyone know if we used to fly into/overnight in Ft. Walton Beach/VPS? I seem to think we have Jepps for it (don't have them near to check).
I'm looking for hotel info and some crew rates, nothing in the blue sheets. Maybe ASA overnights there, and if so, would Comair be able to pull a crew rate?

Okay, I get it now. Incompetence strikes again? I haven't seen the referenced memo yet...though I did like the one a month or so back with the chart asking why the usage has increased over three years ago...the chart that could have just as easily been retitled "Comair Pilot Pay Rates"
There was a time when just about everyone was on board with saving money, to the point you'd have to change your uniform between flights, and passengers were being hauled away from the aircraft in ambulances.
They still haven't shut the ac off over in the G.O., as I suggested three years ago (why should they get air conditioning...they don't even do anything that produces revenue?), and they still can't even turn the lights off when they go home at the end of the day. Meanwhile, we've taken two pay cuts, seen a significant decrease in the quality of schedules and layover accomodations, and not yet recovered to pre-bankruptcy fleet size levels.
After the sham bankruptcy I'm as concerned about Delta/Comair's financial well being as they are about mine.
Comments from management such as "You adjust your lifestyle to what we're willing to pay you." have destroyed the tremendous asset this pilot group used to be.

Don't even get me started on this whole APU, PPAS, etc. stuff. I don't know what is is lately and the CAs I have been flying with, but the last few insisted on no APU (turned it on anyway) and flying PPAS by the inch. Also, I am not sure if it was just a string a CAs I had, but what's with not turning on the logo and wing inspection light at night? Are they trying to save money on the light bulbs or something?
