Head to the FAA website...and click on Licenses and Certificates....login to or setup your account and then donate 2 bucks to the Feds.

MV..Yeah that pretty much sums up what i got. BWI T/O Low Vis, expect no fms, come back and do the vor to 10 or 22, you will get one or the other, go missed and do the hold, brief the hold and the entry, i did 1 turn.. then a ils to either of those runways down to mins coupled, V1 cut back around to an ils and land, then they set me on the down wind for a visual with a 10kt tail wind and land. also got a wind sheer on T/O, an RA, and a reposition out to CO for a cfit escape maneuver.

LOE. Bos to Yul. they take you out to 27 for the rnav departure, make sure your heads up on all hot spots, get cleared to cross runways. airport diagrams out. got the hyd 1 and 3 failure. Make sure you do the combination failure in the QRH, they threw it at us on the descent with a huge tailwind, they try to rush you, if you don't feel comfortable take a vector or hold to get things under control. Don't rush they will try to rush you.

oral.. obviously know ME/LIMS.. good working knowledge of systems, performance and WX. other than that it's all fair game to look up, just have a good idea where to look..

be positive play the game..good luck
hope this helps..

I wrote up a pretty good gouge for the MV/LOE, if that hasn't circled Ops, yet, then I dunno. Most of friends who got the gouge had no problems and walked out with no surprises.

***On your MV, don't accept any approach into BWI rwy 22. Turbojet landings are prohibited. It's in the fine print. Was just shown that today by an instructor.***

That's just cruel. And unrealistic. ATC would know not to issue that approach clearance to a turbojet.

I Cant find it...where

Last edited by Paok; 03-03-2008 at 02:53 PM. Reason: I FOUND IT... and it says except in emergencies, xwind, or no other runway avail, so I guess they COULD make that a scenario

I've heard instructors talk about that over @ Flight Safety, but I don't know of anyone that actually got that on their MV!

See, now Poak is going to have a panic attack!

They will give you the VOR 22 into BWI and you will have to do it. The Instructor will tell you that eventhough it's not listed, the runway is long enough for you to do it. Just do the approach. Its an easy and simple VOR approach. Just pay attention to the missed approach prodedure and you will be ok.
