Call me crazy, but maybe he found a better opportunity outside of Comair and didn't see Comair as the pinnacle of his career. Plus, there is no evidence yet that we have won any United flying; as of right now, it is pure speculation and rumor. It's usually bad policy to plan your career based on pure speculation and rumor.

WOOOO #2000 REPLY!!
Director of Operations is a position required by the FAR's, so they have to fill it anyway, so they won't get much money saving out of it. I'm thinking he got a better offer.

Better offer? Seems like he would have made more where he was with the potential of the company rather than a real estate job. But I know nothing about real estate, so you may be right

Oh! I just had a revelation.

I know why we're going to start flying UAX flights from ORD for Mesa. They're our new owner!

Mesa's in a world of hurt right now. They sure don't have the capital or liquidity to purchase us. They have that $90 million dollar bond that they had to put up for that Go! debacle and they are divesting Air Midwest. Mesa can't even run their own airline right now and staff the flying they currently have, much less get involved with taking over another airline.

According to someone who went to the Captains meeting:

There are 3 groups that want to buy us. One is a 135 operation and evidently has little chance. The other two are investment groups. The latter seems more likely to me because with all that is going on now, no airline wants to buy a top heavy RJ-flying airline.

Give me some good news soon. Or at least more coloring books and a 64-pack of crayons in ops. Andy is getting bored sitting ready and not flying and won't shut up about it.
