It is about time.

One of the most frustrating things about SBS is during the SAW or any other time you attempt to add/drop, you have to wait for a human to process the request. IMO, if it is legal you should get it right then and there and not have to wait.

Also, what ever happened to the automated notification system we used for like 2 days? Will that be incorporated into Maestro? I think relying on scheduling to notify you is completely inefficient. I have seen a flight cancel because a scheduler actually forgot to notify a reserve. The current system is too "fly by the seat of your pants" for me.

it is fly by the seat of your pants

we are relying on a system thats 33 years old not very efficient to train on and its a large reason why turnover and problem exist.

the message one system has been brought up they are looking into it

I really truely think when Maestro and the other side of the system (name is escaping me right now) are brought online, we will see some major changes in our trip structure.

On a completely (or maybe not) unrelated note, just had a message left on my phone from Anita in scheduling. I'm reserve on a hard day off, mind you. She called and said "I have a trip that I need help covering if you could call us back that'd be appreciated." Now me, being the optomist that I am, I am seeing that as a request for EF, since the big bad JM words weren't used. I'm always game for EF, unfortunately I'm in the process of purchasing a new place in NKY and had to work with the builder on some stuff today. Anyone see this call in the other respect?

Anyone know if there is any truth to the rumor that the company news on March 11 is going to be that we are going to be taking over some U.S. Airways flying from Mesa, since they are hurting, and can't produce results. I have heard this a few times. Again rumors are rumors just wondering if anyone else had heard the same thing.

I got a call earlier from Forecasting & Planning, and they asked me if I want to move up my 70/90 transition training. Look's like they will be running differences classes almost every week in April. I was told "We got more flying for the 70/90 this summer than originally expected". Maybe March 11 we will find out more. Like I said before, flying for another carrier is exactly what we could use right now.

Sounds like good news, I hope to jump over to the 70/90 when this next bid closes. It's about time we get some good news around here.... maybe I'm just giving my hopes up though...

Hey FTR, since open time hasn't been in view recently... Is there anyway to get placed on an extra fly list for a particular kind of trip if it comes open? I'll PM you my situation/the details.... Thanks!
