how on earth did you get 6 RR's when you didn't bid LC? You really torqued someone off in planning. You had better buy them pizza or something.

Doesn't matter what you bid. I've gotten 6 RRs whether I bid short or long call...

I still don't understand why people get all bent out of shape about having 6 RRs a month. You're on reserve, expect it. With 11 RRs a day at CVG, times approx 30 days a month, split up among 6 RRs per pilot, that leaves 55 reserve pilots at CVG that get 6 a month. That's fairly easy to believe.

I agree. I have been doing 6 a month for the past 5 years. I actually kind of enjoy them. I usually see someone in ops that I can talk to or I get caught up on all of these crazy message boards.

I personally only kind of agree. You will never hear me complain about them because they are a guarantee at our company. However, I don't look forward to them.

I'm with both of you on that one. They can be interesting, just to see some old folks that you haven't seen in a while around the trailers. But Readys aren't necessarily always fun. But, they are definitely a necessary evil.

I think your attitude towards RRs would drastically changed once you’ve done a few 3 a.m.’s. I’ve done six of them this month, got called out every single time, but now I am done with that *******t.

I sat the 3am ready this morning and it sucked a$$...I mean, I was only able to sleep about 4 hours in the ready room before they released me at 7. Getting paid to sleep is bull******.
