Well the ready inside the window is ok, cause the next day it turns to an A2...which poses the next question..is it even ok to have an A2 the next day..since that starts at 0330.

2000 - 0330 is 7.5 hours.

I still get 10 hours in domicile even if i wasn't used on a window?

Ftr, it was a 1600 report in DCA release at 0230 in HSV then report at 1635 in HSV. HSV is not the place to have that long of a layover.

I think this one is legal because of pre-notification. In this case your rest does not end at 330, it ends when you report for your ready reserve. It is a clever way to switch you to an A2 window.

Thoughts?

No but this is why you should know your contract better than me.

andy you must have legal rest in base of 10hrs

prenotification doesent do anything if the assignments illegal

in this case its up to the planner to have put a note on your line to remind the schedulers to release you early from your window to be legal for your ready the next day. however we fail to notify you then the ready must either be dropped or amended to get 10hrs.

I have six readies in April on my L1. But I was stupid enough to bid to fly, or is it bid to sit ready? You are welcome to pick some of them if you want

The best defense against illegal assignments is knowing your contract. Carry it with you or downloaded on your computer.
