Comair updates?
The thing is, the words that stuck out for me in the memo were no the numbers and increase in flying, but the words "anticipate" and "scheduled". Again, this can all change again by the end of the week. However, if Comair does see this increase in flying and shift to the NE, I think it will only be through the summer. For some reason I don't see them opening a BOS base, only to close it 3 months later. This has been discussed a few times before during a net conference. However, I could see them create a New York base, in other words JFK/LGA. You could start/end a trip in JFK or LGA. I wonder how many computers they could fit in the (closet) "crew room" in LGA

BOS would definitely be more of a senior base if it happened. The LGA possibility though is very real IMO. I think Delta and American already operate a JFK/LGA base system don't they?
I am guessing that it would take 8 or 9 years to hold FO in CVG provided we don't call everyone back and upgrade a billion people.

Here are some questions regarding a BOS base:
Why?
-We do not have any significant increases in flying in BOS specifically over the next few months so why open a new base.
-Didn't we close two bases to become more cost effective?
Why not?
-If you look at it in terms of DCI coverage, strengthening a position in the Northeast with a BOS base is a smart move. One step further, as CRJDriver suggested, is a co-base with LGA. Conversely, this would fall in line with an eventual decline of CVG with Mesaba and Pinnacle having a firm presence in the midwest.
I think CVG is about to get very senior very fast.
