Maybe the wording is off, I was wondering about it myself. Maybe saying 'no furloughs at least through August' means there may not be any after August either. Or maybe I'm way over-thinking it and overdosing on this slight hint of optimism.

I think it's plain and simply company ignorance (but not in a bad way)

Comair NEVER knows the winter schedule till approximately mid to late August....

It's a company CYA..that's all folks..don't read to deep into it..just hope that at least a few guys get called back and that this is a good "kick start" to an ill Comair

I think someone posted something about that a week ago. They must be looking at it as another $100.00/employee/year. Just another source of income.

NO recalls... This will just prevent the next 100+ that were about to be on the next furlough list.......

Well, I rarely post on here, but when I read the most recent company memo, I laughed so hard I nearly fell out of my chair. I know times are tough and people just want their jobs back, but I am amazed out how quickly we all forget that the memos that come out of Comair aren't worth the paper they are written on.

So let's say they open a new base, get some extra flying and bring everyone back from furlough. It will only be a matter of time before the rug is ripped out from underneath us. It's hard to get excited about this memo, when you think about how they will really handle things.

I could go on, but I'll stop here.

Who knows...with the increase in flying, a boston base, and all that United flying that we might get, I bet we'll recall everyone and go on a huge hiring spree!!

Basically they are junior manning. Would MGT ever not force schedulers to JM? Do the schedulers have a choice?
