January of 07 is also what it takes to currently hold any FO seat at Comair.

So that is what is current now, but I wonder what it will take in May when CVG is literally down to 20ish % of OH flying?

I'm guessing that it would be a 2002 seniority number.

I'd assume about the top 200 or so from each list (fo and ca)....so...yea about 20 years to hold long call sound about right to anyone?

Nope, no choice in the matter whatsoever. Believe me, contrary to what you may think, I don't get my rocks off calling people into work on their day off. And, if it makes you feel better, they do exactly the same thing to us on off days. At least they usually tell you its a JM, rather than the "please give us a call" like we get.

So let's say they open a new base, get some extra flying and bring everyone back from furlough. It will only be a matter of time before the rug is ripped out from underneath us. It's hard to get excited about this memo, when you think about how they will really handle things.

I could go on, but I'll stop here.
Why would the rug get pulled out????? I guess you must know something I don't!

Uh...well.....because that is what they do at Delta/Comair. Get your hopes up and then crush you with one swift blow. You must have amnesia and don't remember last summer or fall. LOL.

I don't know whether to laugh or cry sometimes, when it comes to Clownaire. One thing I can say for certain is they have certainly earned that nickname.

So given that right now they are expecting a 2500+/- hour increase in April and 3200+/- in May and assuming they think they are staffed for the current level of flying....how many additional crews would that kind of block hour increase require?

25 more crews, but they are saying we are staffed for the increas, so no recalls as I see it.

I just cant see how that's possible...we are BARELY getting by with current crew staffing levels, CVG was down to 1 LC yesterday afternoon...I just cant see how they can expect to operate a RELIABLE operation with bare bones staffing.
