I don't know where you want to go or how badly you want to get there, but it might be worth it to check for low fares if you're taking people with you. I tried to take my family out to the west coast last month via non-rev, but we never made it as the flights were full. Sometimes you can find a low fare that's not much more than yield fare, and you get a guaranteed seat (which is what we're doing next time). I don't mind non-reving by myself, but I've learned that it's not worth it if you're traveling with others.

Well she is very experienced with non revving, we used to go 1-2 places a month, but since being furloughed we haven't gone anywhere to save up some money (Thank GOD she has a better job than me!) but we wanted to go back to Italy and I just noticed that her TO's were removed.

Any furloughed guys having problems non-reving on NWA? I need to get somewhere in a few weeks, but NWA is the only airline flying to that airport.

Are NW/DL bennies one and the same already? I haven't paid the ridiculous PNR fees yet and was hoping to use NW in the interim...

Comair's commuter clause requires you to have two flights that arrive at least 30 minutes prior to your report time.

For kicks I just checked travelnet - the first two flights from CVG to JFnK arrive at 1:32 and 4:13pm. In order to use the commuter clause, the earliest report you can have is 4:43pm for a 5:43pm departure. Otherwise it's a hotel in JFnK.

Good luck hoping Comair will build "commutable trips" for the 500 or so CVG commuters...

I called the pass bureau right after I was fuloughed about this. The woman I talked to said that NWA is still considered interline travel for us and even though they're merging with Delta, furloughed employees cannot travel interline.

Yeah, and what type of aircraft? 50 seat RJs? Delta used to run a 757, but I think there is only 1 B757 coming into CVG from SLC, everything else is now 737s and Mad Dogs... Sad.

From what I've been hearing, the FNWA/Mesaba/Compass employees should be in Travelnet by July. We will also be able to list on NWA/Airlink flights just like we do Delta/DCI flights now.
