How do you file an UI extension for NY? Is it really 9 months or 9 weeks?

This was an update from SkyWest's COO. So I only know what he said. Just wondering if you guys had heard anything about it. I'm not sure why they (lines or aircraft) are going Comair instead of any other DCI. Maybe MESA's losing these lines or aircraft out of JFK or CVG?

6 aircraft/routes won't stop the beating at Comair. It might just feel like the guy holding the whip pauses and turns his head for a second before he cracks t again.
