Congratulations on having 500 bucks sitting around to buy airline stocks! I would not recommend purchasing stock from any airline--including Southwest (symb: LUV). I would advise taking that money and putting it into some sort of savings account for a "rainy day", which this industry is full of these days. Better yet, maybe bury it in a can in your backyard!

Okay, soooooooooo as you know I interviewed March 25, was offered a class date while eating in the cafeteria. April 21.

They said a UPS package would be coming with travel details, and blah blah blah. I was just wondering when I should call or email to ask if everything is okay? There are five working days left.

I know I am probably just being anxious but it would be my luck that there would be an office/communication error. Just try to overt that If possible.

They will probably send it to you this coming week sometime. I'm going to be over at the training center the week of April 21, so I will probably run into you over there.

It'll either be really good for us or really bad for us. Things definitely won't stay status quo. Only time will tell. We will have to wait and see what the details of the merger are. Will they combine wholly-owned carriers (Comair, Mesaba and Compass), will they dump contract carriers (Pinnacle, Republic, etc..)? Who knows? Lots of variables to take into account with hubs, route overlap, aircraft types, seniority integration issues, company control, etc.

I tend to think that it may not be a good thing for us as Comair, but we will have to wait and see. Selvaggio seems to think we will be okay (per the latest conference call), but that may just be corporate rhetoric.

Well I drove up from Florida so I'd have my vehicle with me. If you are going to try to fly in, call them for your non rev listing, they should be able to give you the confirmation number over the phone.

I did call them the day before groundschool and told them I didn't have my package and they didn't seem too concerned about it.
