I was thinking about buying 500 bucks of Frontier Stock. Its down to 48 cents. Anyone have any insight about buying stock from a Chapter 11 company?

The stock won't be worth anything when they emerge so you are jsut burning money. Chances are the stock will be De-listed, like Delta's was during their BK.

Not a good idea. When the company get out of chapter 11, if they do, your stock will be worthless becasue the company will issue new stock to the new investor.

It is remotely possible that stockholders will get something, but in most cases they will not. The only reason it's even trading at all is because of short term speculation, not because anyone thinks it has long-term value.
