Comair updates?

I disagree. I pay 50 bucks a year for the pass benefits. Though not a huge amount, I resent having to pay for something that is considered a benefit. While the company may not make a profit from the pass charges, they are still offsetting their operating costs off the back of the employees rather than passing it on to the consumer, where it belongs.
Good for me as an employee? Is that like eating my broccoli? Or building character? I am already enough of a character

Although I do not agree with the fee, I feel it is a give and take. I have worked at other airlines where the employee pays a fee everytime they non rev beit a small amount, (10 dollars or 15 if in first.) And that airline was 12 years ago, who knows what they charge now. Also, in the past Delta did charge employees a rate for travel but was removed. I see the trend coming back and frankly with the state of finances, Im surprised it hasn't as of yet.

I think there would be a massive revolution at delta if they did this. It's already a headache enough to commute to work as it is with the reduction in capacity (and a pat on the back to the airlines for filling the planes), and with paycuts, minimal retirement, and an overall bleak industry...if they were to start charging 20 bucks one way (or whatever the amount), i for one would probably quit and just go fly pc12s.
I feel the same way believe me. But reality of the matter is quitting would take time, in the meantime we would have to pay. I also believe that many if not all would be PO'd but the numbers would stay unfortunately. ASA and Chanaynay I believe pay a co fee to non rev already but I maybe mistaken.
The trend is there and it has been brought up however as you mentioned think Big D is aware of the animosities that would develop and in turn lower moral whic means lower work productivity, something we don't need more of at this juncture.

I smell animosity already brewing between those pilots groups.
