I'm sure they will give you a RR. I would go to the crew room try to check your self out and you will be notified without having to call them. That is if are around the airport

What if I conveniently decided to hop a flight home instead? I'm on L2

I guess you could as long as you are not on ready reserve and after your 1st. window closes.

This is interesting that they are looking for sim instructors now. I've flown with a few that were full time and got sent back to the line. Is this supposed to be for the random increase in new hires they want in the summer?

We are doing special meetings and interviews in Columbus and Orlando, for Skybus and Freedom Air pilots. Might be for them coming in.

I'm willing to bet that the hiring window for 300 hour wonders is over.

If as a reserve they took the trip away and did not notify you of it or something new, you are still expected to report at that time. Pretty much when this happens they will give you a new trip or a ready reserve. But you cant just hop on the flight home.

Just call in and tell them you noticed that they took the flight away and you are calling to get notified of it. Then you just go back on your window.

Yeah, thats eventually what I did. Didn't want to make a trip to the airport and just have to sit ready if I didn't have to. She said I was free until my afternoon window, so I jetted to La Garbage and hopped on the first flight home. And as long as they don't call in the next 4 minutes, I'm free! At this point I'm looking at at least 22 days off this month. Haven't worked once yet. Except for that one short call they illegally assigned me, luckily I've been sitting at home for it.
