Anyone ever had the DCA overnight? Whats the easiest way to get to the monuments from the airport?

if we are still in old town get the hotel to take you to the airport. You can then take the train from there, it is a quick trip.

If you're going from DCA, just jump on the Metro. You can be on the mall in 10 mins.

Yeah, DCA metro is $1.50 I think. may have gone up, but I can't see it being more than $2.

And also some of the beaches in the northeast are pretty good. Long Island is a pretty safe bet for good beaches. Long Beach, Jones Beach, etc

back in the day you could buy draft beer right on the beach concession stand at Jones beach. It is a great beach not crowded and nice sand. I don't know if you can still buy beer on the beach but taking beer away from a New Yorker would meet with the same results as moving the Yankees to Connecticut.

From the airport it'll only be $1.35 or $1.65 depending on the time of day.
