I love Comair, I have a 6 hour three day that starts today. And the 11.5 hour duty day with only two legs on the last day is icing on the cake!

You're not alone!!!! I woke up this morning to see a lovely A2 on my line tomorrow instead of the usual L2. There is at least 1 pilot jr to me, with the same exact schedule for the next four days, who got to keep L2's. I don't get it.....

Ok, is there anywhere to look up how much the taxes would be for each city? And I get how the ZED price works, per mile. But if you ride on a Delta flight are there any other charges other than the taxes?

EDIT: What I did just now was went to Delta.com like I was just going to buy a ticket and it said 38$ roundtrip... does that mean it would be 19 each way with ZED or on Delta?

I've been following and looking at the bid packets for the 70/90 for the last few months, and I don't think the trip are any better than the 50. What's with the 4-5 hrs. sits? Usually they are at then end of a 3 or 4 day on the last day. Let's hope that June will be better...

Yes there are a lot of long sits in the 70/90. Another thing is the trips have far fewer locations then the 50. We serve a lot less smaller airports then the 50 and it seems like most of my trips are ATL JFK and Florida and Texas. The legs are much longer and there is also fewer legs per day. 4 is a lot 5 is almost unheard of and the norm seems to be 2-3 legs a day. However I just got done with a 21 hour 3 day trip.

I guess the grass is always greener............

Ok guys, here's a thought

There are reports that DL is talking to the DL pilots to amend the contract to work on "scope" to make the merged airline more flexible.

DL has also said that "none of its pilots will be furloughed".

Now...could the scope thing be something that'll bring 70/90/170/175s to the mainline side of things? (I.E.reduce scope clause to <70 seats?)

that would certainly prevent (almost inevitable) furloughs on the mainline side of things..since i can't see how they're going to cut all redundant domestic routes AND double their pilot group without making personnel changes.

Well, hopefully the trips on the 70/90 will improve come summer. It just pi$$es me off to see SkyWest come back into CVG with their -900s come June. They will be doing CVG-ATL, DEN, PHL, DFW and ORD.

I hate to see DEN go back to SkyWest, especially since DL decided to get rid of the CVG-COS flight.

So, what's the farthest West we go now? Kansas City?
