Does anyone know what it was that aborted takeoff above V2 a couple weeks ago? 50, 70, or 900?

Vacancy Bid award just came out!

Look's like I'll be joining the 700/900 side in a few months...

The only thing I know was a 50 from CVG to BWI that blew a tire after 100 knots before V1, continued the takeoff, like they should have, and came back in for an emergency landing on 18L.

No, not the blown tire. They didn't abort.

We recently had one abort takeoff after V2 due to the ailerons being frozen in a crosswind correction

Believe the Captain was flying and perceived the aircraft was not going to fly so they aborted. Apparently both he and the FO were sent to the sims and tried to re-enact the series of events with a check airman. I guess all three of them red-screened it 95% of the 50+ times they attempted the takeoff and didn't abort. Just what I heard through the grapevine, so take it for what it's worth......

If they aborted at V2 its a good thing we are not operating on performance limited runways at CVG. The brakes sure are good on the CRJ.

I don't care much for the -700/900 or the lousy pay increase. The only reason I bid for it is in hopes that my QOL will improve a little and I'll get to fly more. I didn't bid for it becuase it is a cool new airplane that is flying routes that should be flown by mainline. Also,IF we would get more planes in the future it would be -900s and not 50 seaters. I just saw that I don't even go to differences training for another 5-6 months, hell, I might hold a line on the -50 by then, but who the hell knows?!
