thanks..
Mr. H. is a good guy -- my sim partner had him a couple years ago when we were new hires pre-AQP program. Nothing fancy or unfair, but YMMV.

At the risk of sounding like a killjoy, some might prefer not to have their names posted on a public bulletin board. Since we all work for Clownair an employee number might be more discreet option for asking about a particular individual. Just a suggestion, y'all.

Keep in mind, that changing my release time was the difference between normal and min rest, with a long day the next day.

Long story short, our FA calls and talks to another scheduler and has his release time changed. Well, I called back, ready with my 'coming to Jesus' chat prepared for this particular scheduler, but another one answered and changed the release time..... meh... no consistency whatsoever in scheduling, it all depends on who you get. Schedulers have no idea what it is like for us and how hard we work. We are worn out after several full days of flying, especially when on reserve but they still wont budge when you need it most.
Yea that is crap. The scheduler the other night wouldn't adjust the report time for a trip that only showed 5:30 for the rest(I was DS and scheduling was getting silly), when they wanted to notify me of it. We went back and forth about how he needed to change it to make it legal or I wouldn't take the trip. His response, you need to just call us when you get there so we can adjust it then, because we don't know what to adjust the rest on. The guy wouldn't just adjust it based of the ETA just to make it legal...I'm not sure what his problem was. At least I got it tape recorded that he refused to make it legal and that I'm protesting it, I don't accept illegal trips not without it getting documented, even with the intent to make it legal after the fact.

Crew Schedulers should be required to do a 4 or 5 day trip once a year for ongoing training.. they should have to Shadow the Crews for that time. I honestly belive they dont have a Clue or just plain dont care how ever if you know they are breaking the FARs bring it up I doubt they want to get fined just my 2cents

Great idea!! And... I think we should be able to flag them with "SD"s when they screw up. It seems like they just throw them around like they are nothing.... Every time I have had one, it is because THEY have made the mistake, not me. They dont understand that most of us have $50-$150k invested in our education and training and SD's can really screw up our careers, and it doesnt take many erroneous SD's before the CP's remember who you are and when a real one that's deserved comes along, that could be the end bc of the past track record of just having SD's on your line.... </rant></run-on sentence>

The new Comair Rumor, I was recently told by someone in the training department at CVG that we are going to take some flying away from Mesa in MCO and JFK. Anyone know anything about this? Or is it just a rumor?

The training dept. is full of BS. I have heard sooooo many rumors come out of that place. They always "got an email" from somebody saying this and that. I have never heard of anything coming true from them.
And is there any airline that operates a base for two different airlines at a same base??

Probably wishful thinking from a former MCO guy/gal. Don't put any stock in any rumors until you see it in writing -- and then be very skeptical about it. I'll believe it when I see it. (Not saying it won't happen, just saying don't get your hopes up).
