Comair updates?

Badged airline crews are not required to go through TSA screening. Look at CVG, LEX, CID, QNY, FFDO, etc. We usually go through screening since that is the only way to get to the aircraft.

Delta has told us they will pay for the fuel to ferry aircrafts at night to prevent delays for crew rest at certain stations. So the spare aircraft at JFK will get some use at night with the 3 am ready reserves. they havent said if they want to yet or not. so its still up in the air.

They held a flight for an hour and a half to wait for me to DH to an outstation for a RR overnight...which then delayed the morning flight for 2 hours so I could get my rest. When reporting I was greeted in the lobby by a CA and FO...The FO was perfectly legal to operate the flight at the regularly scheduled time, but with the melt down apparently scheduling lost her, despite her talking to them 2 or 4 times throughout the day. Result 2 flights delayed a total of about 3 and a half hours.

I love Comair melt downs...
I got assigned a canceled flight to BNA around 130 on Friday (the day of the big storm in JFK). I noticed it on SBS and sat and waited for my notification. 637 rolls around, 7 minutes after my report was supposed to be...and i, of course, get a call from scheduling asking where I am (they never notified me). He told me to hurry into the airport, but then I asked him why SBS and delta.com says the flight is canceled. The 5 seconds of silence on the phone made me stop getting ready, and i sat back down on the couch. "oh, uh....yea that's canceled..nevermind, we'll call you if we need you."
Those poor schedulers.
