FYI to all who took the early out/retirement package. We are now inside the 45 day submission window for the Jan 2 early out separation paperwork. If anyone has lost the forms, I have a digital copy I can email to anyone who needs it.

So, how do you like the ACARS so far in the 50s? My last 4-day was the 1st time BOTH of us had one and it was comical getting it to do what we wanted. By the 3rd time or so, we got it down. Just trying to adjust to the new workflow w/o the load manifest and all the parts of the toilet paper roll that we don't use any more.

By the end of the trip, we seemed to agree that the pFDP seemed easier to use and more intuitive than ACARS. Now if it would only get a signal in the air!

I just wish they had mounted the stupid printer over on the right side of the pedestal near the Cargo Firex panel instead of on my tray-table!

They should have installed a cup cooler/heater where the printer is I have not had the pleasure to fly with ACARS yet but I like the pFDP.

Has anyone who separated 11/18/2011 received a severance payout yet? I think by the agreement they have 30 days, but I'm just kind of keeping tabs on case there is a problem. Thanks...

No and I bet it will be sent out EXACTLY 30 days from the separation date.

Just chillin' on the dark continent. No radar, no radios, no airports...just jungle. Lots of jungle...oh...and thunderstorms...the apocalyptic type.

I drop you a a line.

Did you hang your Christmas lights on a Sausage Tree? LOL!
Glad to hear you're doing ok and have not been eaten by lions!
